Draft Master Plan

Sanctuary Point is enjoyed by the community and visitors alike for its calm and relaxed village lifestyle. It has a strong connection to its past and the natural environment, both land and water based, and passionately provides a strong community and service base for all ages.

Specifically, the Sanctuary Point Village Precinct will build upon these community strengths by reinforcing its accessibility, usability, and appeal to all users, whilst providing the services, facilities and other infrastructure to ensure an economic and environmentally sustainable approach into the future.

The medium-term plan for the overall shopping precinct

Above is the medium-term plan for the overall shopping precinct. You will see that we envision the improvement of many areas within the local centre, which includes the skate park and the back of the shopping village and surrounding Francis Ryan Oval.

The installation of more sporting equipment, walkways, sitting areas (blisters) and a peaceful meeting/resting place with tables and chairs in between the two town areas (which will be next to our new library) will make our little town much more inviting.

In addition, we will be installing new signage, new town flags and we will design and implement a new carpark design and traffic flow direction for the shopping centre which one day might connect with the shopping area on Kerry Street. Implementing these items will certainly brighten up and beautify our town.

Connecting and beautifying these two mini shopping areas is the key to our Master Plan.

Master Plan Sketch Perspectives

The above images will give you an idea of the environment and changes we would like to see in our town. More seating areas, children’s play equipment, more plants and flowers and better signage and colour for our little town.

We can’t wait to see some of these images come to life!
